Charlotte, NC.) In USA Rugby Super League Blue Conference action, Charlotte recorded their second close win of the season, defeating Old Blue 21-19, in front of a home crowd of 750+ fans.”I was really pleased with the effort,” said Charlotte head coach David Hamilton. The back row really stepped up for Charlotte. No. 8 Ryan Kearey scored both tries for Charlotte, and flankers Justin Stencel and Salesi Tongamoa, a former Old Blue player, were both instrumental in Charlotte’s defensive game.”We rushed up on them and forced a lot of errors,” said Hamilton. “Their play really helped us. As a club this is a big step up from where we were a year ago, and we were worried that we’d lost momentum after the week off. But this was a good win for us.”This was Charlotte's "Sponsor Day."
