As a social worker, there are times in my career when I have clients/patients and/or kids who tug at my heart strings & whom I develop a special connection/relationship with. For the past several months I have been working with a very special patient who had asked me a few weeks ago if I would be there w/ her when she delivers. Soooo.....yesterday afternoon around 2pm....the patient, the father of the baby and myself headed to the hospital where she was induced. 16 long hours later (at 6:30 this morning), she finally delivered a beautiful, baby boy!!! He weighed 7lbs 11ozs and the only flaw on him was some boo-boo's on his head from where the Dr H. had to use some suction to help get him out. Despite the fact that i've been up for almost 2 days straight and i'm exhausted, it was one of the most memorable & enjoyable moments of my life.
