Smothered in Smoke....

On June 1, lightning sparked a fire in the Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and has since burned more than 40,000 acres (about 63 square miles). Winds carried smoke from the fire over the Outer Banks for the past week before the winds shifted Tuesday pushing the smoke back to the west into the Triangle. I woke up this morning, headed out the door to walk Roxy and thought the neighborhood was ablaze. The smoke has continued to worsen throughout the entire Triangle. Everything STINKS!
