Prayers for Dylan....

This is Dylan....he is the son to one of my dearest friends, Amy (better known as "Doc") & her hubby Brian. Dylan began falling ill last week. On 1 Dec, Amy and I exchanged emails where she stated Dylan was sick, becoming really lethargic and that she was concerned it was Bells Palsy & that they'd be heading to the Dr. in the morning. By late afternoon on 2 Dec, the Dr's confirmed it was not Bells Palsy and by that evening, Dylan was undergoing emergency surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor the size of a baseball. The doctor successfully removed the entire cancerous tumor!!!  Dylan has been recovering like a champ in ICU in hopes to go home w/ mommy & daddy sometime this weekend. Please keep Dylan and his entire family in your thoughts and prayers. (This pic of Dylan is him sitting up in bed Friday, 3 days after surgery, AMAZING!!!)

Dylan will definitely be in my prayers! Is there a name for his type of cancerous brain tumor? Maybe you could suggest to your friend Amy that she could start a Caringbridge site. www.caringbridge.org is a great website that lets families create blogs about their loved ones who are ill or recovering. It's a great way to keep family and friends informed, post pictures, and people can even leave him messages :) I'll be thinking about him and his family!!

If you'd like to see how caringbridge works - check out this one ... www.caringbridge.org/visit/josephluna ... he's a little boy with a type of childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma.
