I awoke Saturday morning around 4am (finally rolling outta bed @ 4:30am) and by 5:30am I had hit the road to Asheville for what was a great day of rugby. The weather was pleasant and we had a great turnout of ladies eager to hit the pitch. The match was a good, friendly match and the final score was 33-24. Nicely done ladies!! I endured my first bloody nose, but it wasn't anything major. More sore than anything and of course the past few days have resulted in me going thru lots of kleenex. Aside from that, some of my muscles are sore, but in a good way. After our match, several of us stuck around to watch the Asheville men play Gastonia. I then headed back to RDU while others enjoyed the social @ the Asheville Brewing Co. I've posted the link to the pics from the ladies match and the few pics taken of the men's match. Thank you so much to Asheville Rugby for hosting us and for a wonderful day of rugby. This weekend we'll be traveling to Ft. Bragg where we'll play the Raleigh Venom. This is for sure to be an interesting match-up so come on out and support your lady ruggers. The Bragg men will also be playing so it's rugby all day!!! Come on out!!!
