Jumbled up posting...

I'm wayyy behind in my blogging, so this entry will probably seem mumbled up & random, but it's my way to say what I wanna say and feel caught up in my own little blogging world that likely nobody reads anyway. :)

* I'm finally feeling better this week. The last celiac attack I had was last Sat. morning and so far my energy is a bit better, I can eat normal again and no other attacks since. I've also been on the phone all day trying to get records here, there and everywhere and referrals and insurance confirmation in hopes that this new doctor will be able to see me sooner rather than later. Until then...I wait....

* The NCRU Ladies reported they had a good time @ Guilford last weekend where they got some playing time in & enjoyed getting back into the rugby swing of things. Our "official" 1st match kicks off next weekend (Feb 21st. @ Asheville).

* In other rugby news....Congrats to the Eno River Men who defeated the Charlotte Royals last Saturday. I believe the score was 51-10. They play Duke Grads tomorrow which is always a nice rivalry of sorts. Looking forward to that.

* In bigger rugby news....congrats to Olde Grey for beating Charleston. What a kick ass way to officially start the season. For those that know the rivalry between these two teams, you know how big this win is. This weekend Olde Grey will host Cape Fear. Go Grey!

* In 6 nations news...England defeated Italy 36-11, Ireland beat the French (THANK GOD, I can't stand the French) 30-21 & Scotland lost to Wales 13-26. This weekend's match-ups will be: France vs. Scotland, Wales vs. England and Ireland vs. Italy.

* The 51st Daytona 500 kicks off this weekend as well. Go 88!!!!! And of course I gotta cheer for ol' Awesome Bill from Dawsonville who will drive the #21 as he starts in the 40th position and last but not least, I can't forget Scott Riggs who's driving the #36 this year for Tommy Baldwin Racing. He's sitting at the #17 spot. You can check out the race line-up here: http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2009/1/data/lineup.html

* Before signing off i'd like to request thoughts and prayers for my friend Anne & her family. Her mother has been battling cancer for some time now. I received word that she died early Tuesday morning.
BTW, for those looking to show your support for breast cancer, consider purchasing a "Fight Like a Girl" t-shirt. I bought mine today and all proceeds go directly to Relay for Life.
