Catamount Baseball...

For those of you who know me well or went to Western with me, you know that during my time there I went to a majority of all our home baseball games @ our very own Childress Field @ Hennon Stadium, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful & most serene baseball stadiums ever. (Click HERE to get the full history on the stadium). (Oh....and BTW, I'll also take this moment to brag about my beloved Catamounts and point out that during the 5 years I attended Western Carolina, the baseball team won 3 SoCon Baseball Championships!! 93', 94' & 97') You also likely know that I still continue to catch the Catamounts at bat anytime they're playing in a town/city that happens to cross paths with mine.

Anyway, I've done a poor job blogging about the Catamounts performance this season, but just b/c I lack in blogging about it doesn't mean I'm not logging into the website every few days to look for scores and standings. Especially as we approach the conference tourney which happens every May. Below is an article about the most recent match up against Eastern Kentucky. 5 hours of play, resulting in the Catamounts taking the win 24-23. WILD!!!
