The men won 46-42!!!!!!
And the ladies lost by one try if I remember correctly. It was a tough match and i'm proud of all my ladies who played their hearts out. As for myself, I'm still perplexed at how I was so close to scoring, but instead got clocked (apparently complete w/ a back flip of sorts before being laid out completely on my back w/ a mild concussion). However, my support was there and made the try for our team....and every rugger knows it's always worth getting laid out if in the end your team got the try!!!!
Although I left the pitch thinking my shoulder (the right side this time) was separated, the xrays show it's just severely torn muscles and deep bruising. And the welt on my elbow was not from anything broken, just a bad contusion. I walked away very lucky!!! I follow up with the Goddess of Orthopedics on April 20th and in the meantime I have Sharon working out the knots & rehabbing me in hopes that I can get outta this lame sling before too long.
Thank you again to everyone who came out on Saturday to play and/or support us. See ya'll on April 25th in Charlotte!!!
