I went in yesterday afternoon to Duke Hospital for the injection in my shoulder. The team of Docs working on me were amazing. Very thorough, informative and great bedside manner. They used u/s (ultrasound) to locate exactly where they wanted to enter and they mastered this quite well despite my bicep tendon, the fluid & the inflammation challenging them on this task. The procedure of shots (3 altogether) was not bad at all, the Doc doing all the needle work was phenomenal. I am a little sore today and have slept a lot. I'm unable to do much w/ my left side for a few more days. But hopefully this will successful. Should know in about 2 weeks.
While laid up I've been super busy getting things ready for the upcoming fiscal year to kick off for the UGA Alumni Assoc - Research Triangle Chapter. Check out our website that I've completely updated at: http://sites.google.com/site/triangledawgclub/Home
You can also find us on Twitter at: http://twitter.com/TriangleUGA
I'm also in the process of starting a Friends Chapter for AMBUCS in the RDU area. Check out http://www.ambucs.com/ to learn more. Contact me directly if you would like to join. Membership is only $25 a year!!! And the best part is...you'd be helping to purchase AmTrykes for kids with disabilities. I will continue to blog more about this project as it gets underway (i.e. I will be seeking folks to join who would also be willing to serve on the board with me). I'm super excited about this and hope you'll consider joining. Come on ya'll, it's ONLY $25. Stay tuned for more updates....
In other news...the CWS (college world series) kicked off today. Cal St. Fullerton lost to Arkansas 10-6. LSU beat Virginia 9-5. UNC lost to Arizona St. 5-2 and Texas squeaked past So Miss winning 7-6.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!!
