Getting ready for the Weekend!!

Before I start today's entry, for those of you following my blog through FB it's been REALLY delayed in loading over there the past week. The direct link to my blog if you wanna just log into your fav's instead is: www.tullycrineturtle.blogspot.com
Thanks to all my dedicated readers...luv ya'll.

Okay so....It's FRIDAY!!!! I'm heading out this morning to have my CT scan on my innards. And afterwards, since I've not been allowed to eat breakfast or have my morning coffee (which ya'll know is a must in my day), I plan to indulge at the coffee shop around the corner from the Dr's office when I'm done. I've also packed a cooler full of GF snacks for afterwards as well. However, I may just opt for the coffee initially as they're doping me up on benadryl this morning as well as 80mg of Prednisone. I'm am most UNHAPPY about BOTH. (I hate taking pills.) So I'm not sure yet if I'll return to work or just come home and sleep. Actually, now that I think about this, being that it's Friday, I sure wish I had a pool, I think I'd opt for lying on a raft and taking a nap & skipping work altogether. So if anyone reading this has a pool you'd like to offer me today, call or text me. :)
Anyway, hopefully between the blood work they did earlier this week and the scan today they can figure out what's going on in there and from there we can work to get me back to feeling better instead of this lingering crappy feeling that's been going on for a few months.

You daily CWS update is that Arkansas squeezed by Virginia winning 4-3 Wednesday night. And UNC got their asses handed to them by Arizona St. last night 12-5. This means that today Arkansas will play LSU @ 1pm and tonight Texas will play Arizona St. My prediction for the Final is LSU vs. Arizona St. (providing Arizona St. isn't too tired b/c they'll be the only team without having a day or two off from play). We shall see....

Lastly, this weekend...SATURDAY, June 20th is a RUGBY day in the Triad area. Come out and sweat w/ us @ Oak T. Hester Park in Greensboro. If you don't feel like standing in the heat w/ a bunch of smelly ruggers, hen join us later for the social @ the Pour House in downtown G-Boro. See ya on the pitch. And NO, I'm still not allowed to play. In fact, I follow up w/ the orthopedic on Wed. regarding the outcome of the injection I had last Friday. (which btw, :( I'm not feeling much difference).

Happy Friday folks and enjoy what's about to be the hottest weekend we've had yet! Stay cool and hydrate yourselves! And HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the Dad's out there!
