Finally a picture of the snow babies I supported in Delivering...
Back in late January 2010, we had a snow storm where we got about 4-5in of snow. In the midst of the storm, I received a phone call in the middle of the night (around 3:30am) from one of my hardest working clients who said she was at the hospital all alone. She was 27 weeks pregnant and unfortunately there was no way to stop the contractions. I quickly threw on some clothes & headed straight to the hospital (despite the 4-5in of snow on the ground) and by noon the next day I found myself supporting in an emergency c-section. It was an amazing experience, but it's always a bit stressful when babies are being born so early on. At the time of birth, Baby A was delivered @ 12:40pm weighing 2lbs and Baby B was delivered @ 12:43pm weighing 2.7 pounds. I am happy to report that the girls (London & Leah) were released just a few weeks ago from the NICU & everyone is doing awesome. Baby A now weighs 6lbs and Baby B weighs 7.4 pounds. Mom has returned to work, routines have been put in place and everything is moving forward. I am so very proud of this mom and her determination not to be dependent on the system, but instead work hard to give her kids the best.

That is wonderful! The babies are soooooo cute. My sister and I were born around 3 months early and weighted only 2 lbs and some each. She is gonna be one blessed momma,..and the babies are gonna love each other sooo much. Being a twin is one of the best things in the world! :)
That is awesome that you were able to experience and help in the miraculous time.
THAT is a great story!
Thanks Liz. It was pretty awesome!
