If there aren't margarita's in heaven, there is now. My friend and former Pius Player Alum, Janet Powers died on Sunday as a result of a seizure and fall in her home. She was hilarious and her smile was contagious. It's hard to accept the loss of someone so special. She had a heart that was always giving to others and she took great pride in giving back to her community and her faith. Like myself, she too was a social worker. We shared many laughs on the days that our job tested us the most and we often discussed our insomnia & creative ways to win the battle against it. I'm going to miss her so much. Services will be this Saturday, April 24 at 3:00 pm at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Following Mass on Saturday, the family will be receiving condolences at a reception in the gymnasium of the church.
