7th Annual Airborne 7's Rugby Tourney Supports Cancer Research

The Ft. Bragg Rugby Football Club will be hosting its 7th annual Airborne 7’s Tournament @ Jordan Soccer Complex in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Saturday, May 22nd. The tournament has attracted nearly 25 men and women’s teams from across the region making this year one of the most competitive. This year's tournament will also feature a premier men's division to commemorate rugby 7’s becoming an official Olympic sport earlier this year. The winner of this division will take home $1,000.

In addition, ruggers will be giving back to the community by hosting and participating in a charity raffle where proceeds will go to support cancer research. Some of the prizes being raffled off include: a 32 inch plasma tv, $50 gift card to World Rugby Shop, Your Scrumhalf Connection T-shirts & rugby balls, Godek Rugby Merchandise, etc. Two of Bragg Rugby’s very own, Paigeann Fugaro Mapley-Brittle and Jennifer “Turtle” DuPree will be racing for the cure in June. You can visit their websites below for more information about their goals, their progress and details on how to make an online donation.
