Most folks know James "Guppy" Gillenwater as a USA Eagle. Locally in North Carolina, he's known for being a regular dude attending the Duke Law program and more importantly, being responsible for bringing rugby to Durham's Youth via "The Rugby Project" which you can hear/see/read about in the video & article below.
James was injured in a local rugby game yesterday (Eno River/Duke Grad vs. So Pines). It was reported that he suffered a broken nose & cheekbone which led to a CT scan that showed a blot clot in his brain. He was immediately taken in for emergency surgery. Please keep him, his family & his teammates in your thoughts & prayers. May the rugby gods bless him & allow him a full recovery. We're "with you" Guppy!
