Lemme explain something to you....it's a GREAT day to be a GEORGIA BULLDOG!!! Those of you who know me, know that this is one of my fav times of year b/c it's when all the college baseball tourney's are happening. SEC, SoCon & ACC are the ones I follow the closest, but I keep my eye on the big picture b/c we all know that the outcome of these tourney's is what results in who heads to the CWS and who doesn't.
A few days ago the Dawgs beat Auburn 3-2. Tonight they beat the #1 seeded Gamecocks 4-2 landed a spot in the semi's!!! We'll play the Gaytor's tomorrow afternoon.
For those of you who aren't a Dawg fan, 1) bless your heart and 2) I will enlighten you. This win tonight isn't just your average, big win to advance in the tourney kinda moment. This is super special win b/c the Diamond Dawgs have had a rough year. One of our players, Johnathan Taylor, had a fatal collision/accident in outfield earlier this season that resulted in a serious neck injury, etc. He's currently at Shepherd Spinal Center where he's determined to walk again. Coach announced after tonight's win that JT will be in the dugout tomorrow when the Diamond Dawgs take on FLA. I get the goosebumps every time I read it or think about it. This is just AWESOME!
As an athlete myself and a member of a close nit team/community, I cannot tell you how inspirational JT's presence will be to the UGA Baseball team tomorrow.
Now a moment of prayer...Dear Baby Jesus, please continue to heal JT and PLEASE let us beat those gawd-awful Gators. Amen!
