And the mileage goes up.....

For the past 4 weeks, my training has been modified to fight the war on PF and some other ailments that running can take on the body.  I am happy to report that things seem to be back on track and I'm slowly, but surely catching back up to the training schedule with the team.  We are at the point in training where the mileage begins to go up.  This weekend we have a 10 mile run.  Coach has modified my miles to where I'll be doing a run/walk version b/c she doesn't want me to over do it or wind up with DOMS and/or my foot regressing in its healing.  Furthermore, it's never effective to jump too much in mileage.  For example, my previous long run (last Sat) was 6 miles.  Typically the next step up from this would be 8 miles hence why this weeks 10 miler will be modified.  Fingers crossed this goes well.  We'll be running in the woods on a trail I used to hike often.  It's VERY hilly so this will be a very hard run, BUT anyone who knows me knows how much I love a trail so I'm hoping that will keep my motivation in check and my legs moving.  Stay tuned for a report on how things go.
