Training continues onward....it's not going awful, but as I've said before, winter training has been quite the experience. I've been maintaining my long runs some way, some how but I'm not getting in a lot of shorter runs during the week. To be determined if this will hinder me come race day or not.
I went for a gait analysis over the weekend. I'd never done one before so I decided to try it. The folks at the running store were super nice. And the analysis was worth it from the standpoint of the video that they take of you running. I def learned some things by seeing myself in motion. However, I was very disappointed in that the session was so rushed. I had that overwhelming stressed out type feeling the entire time. In addition, I was never shown the video of me running outside, only the video of me on the treadmill. I am not a dreadmill runner, I'm a road & trail runner. While I obtained a few good pieces of info & learned a few new stretches, overall the experience left me feeling disconcerted. Not to mention I wasn't thrilled with putting forth dollars to be rushed out the door. Live and learn I suppose.
