Rock n' Roll Raleigh - 13.1 on 13 April, 2014

The Rock n' Roll Raleigh was a great race with a challenging course.  I truly enjoyed it (even as the heat kicked in, haha).  I ran as a member of Team V and I had an absolute blast.  We raised over $250K for cancer to which 100% of the proceeds goes towards the mission.  I dedicated this years cancer run to 7yr old, Dylan Beach.  He's a 3x brain cancer warrior!!!  I have mailed him my Heart of Rock n' Roll medal to honor him in his fight against cancer.

This race was also special b/c I got to see some old friends & make new ones.  Even though it took me longer to finish this half marathon compared to the first one that I ran in November, I was pleased with myself for conquering every hill (while most everyone else was whining about them) and I finished very strong.

FINISHER!!!!
The local news affiliate, WRAL captured this pic of me along the route.  And yes, I'm running in a TuTu in honor of & in memory of all those who have been affected by cancer.
