My Memorial Day Weekend...

My weekend was pretty low-key. Friday evening I got a bunch of work done. I know, how exciting.

Saturday, I enjoyed hanging out with Fran as we lounged in the pool w/ a few cold ones. Early Saturday evening I received a message that Dylan wanted to see Aunt Turtle, so we tried to visit via webcam but between my webcam acting up and Dylan getting sick from the chemo he had that day we decided to try again another day. I finished out Saturday night by watching the Canes lose again to the Penguins. And I also watched the Heineken Cup final where Leinster won the cup for the 1st time . Pretty darn cool! Ireland rugby is kicking some serious ass this year. They've now won Six Nations & the Heineken Cup. NICE WORK LADS!!!

On Sunday, I ran some errands & just hung out. Tried to visit w/ Dylan again but he had a really rough day from the chemo so we decided a raincheck would be best. I watched a movie, did some laundry & lounged around the rest of the evening.

Today, Monday...I started a new cardio plan since I can't do jack squat w/ my upper body I'm pretty much limited to walking, running or biking so I'm trying to keep it interesting so I can continue to get some kinda exercise. Let's hope this works and my motivation remains in tact....I also got to visit w/ Dylan (& Doc) via webcam today!!! Dylan was smiling and giggling @ Aunt Turtle and he seemed to really enjoy watching Roxy on the webcam. It was wonderful to see him smile & I'm glad he's feeling a bit better after enduring his final round of chemo (hopefully forever). Please continue to pray for Dylan & his family as he'll undergo the stem cell transplant in a few days. In other Aunt news, as ya'll know I'm also the aunt of triplets (my brother's kids). Today I had a message that Tyler hit his first home run AND pitched 2 scoreless relief innings over the weekend in his baseball tourney. Then they proceeded to win the championship!! This is AWESOME!!! I love being an aunt.....

Lastly, thank you to all the men and women who have served our great nation as a member of our United States Military. We honor all those fallen soldiers today and remind those currently enlisted & serving that we support you. "Keep Your Helmet On"
