As the end of the summer approaches, things are starting to get super busy again and already things are happening faster than I can blog about them both @ work and in play. Below is a few quick noted updates:
* Still working w/ my Dr on what's ailing my intestines. Looks like I'm gonna have to try a medicine for about a month to see if that helps, all the while monitoring all symptoms, etc. At least I'll get a break from testing for a while. I'm tired of being poked and have medical bills racking up so I'm looking forward to a few weeks of no doctor appts. or tests than need to be ran.
* Roxy and I escaped to the beach for a week @ Topsail Island recently. It was nice to get away from the big city & just do nothing. I ate lots of fresh shrimp, read several books, tanned my shell & walked Roxy several times a day (which btw, she LOVES the beach). It was a much needed break for me and it allowed me to get some rest since I've been feeling so crappy which I can tell was helpful to the ol' body.
* The next 5 months appear to be busy, busy, busy....I'll be settling into new surroundings for lack of better words which will take lots of hard work but should pay off in the long run. On Sept. 5th, college football will kick off which will include events & such that I hope will go off without a hitch as Stacey and I take on our first year as El Presidentes of the alumni/fan chapter. Fall Rugby will also kick up in September. No play for me though as I'll be scheduling my shoulder surgery sometime in Oct or Nov. In addition, I'm launching forward in getting the RDU AMBUCS Friends Chapter up and running. Please visit http://www.ambucs.com/ for more information on what AMBUCS and AmTrykes are. If you're interested in becoming a member, contact me. It's only $25 a year!!!
