My shoulder rehab continues. It's still a very slow process to which I have to remind myself to "chill out" about sometimes. I am currently using a 5lb and/or 8lb weight with hopes of reaching @ least 10-12lbs within the next couple of weeks. I'm still cycling about 14 miles 3-5 times per week w/ a goal of hitting 15 miles. And I'm officially back to running 5k's. (Today I actually reached 4 miles) This is VERY encouraging for me. I'm planning to enter some 5k races to keep myself busy and active. As a rugger, fitness is a big key. I'm still not able to play rugby and unsure when I will be able to take the pitch again. So in the meantime....I look great on the sidelines drinkin' beer and cheering everyone else on.
Speaking of rugby....the Spring Season kicks off THIS SATURDAY @ Ft. Bragg. We'll be hosting the ladies from USC. The weather forcast is calling for COLD weather and possible snow/ice/sleet. The match will only be cancelled if DOT deems the roads dangerous. SO...bring your flask of whiskey and bundle up to cheer on women's rugby in NC!!!! Kick off is @ 1pm. Email me if you need directions.
Lastly and most importantly, lots of my buddies @ Ft. Bragg are continuing to fulfill deployments in the "Stan", as well as a bunch have already been or will be shipping out to Haiti. Our troops are doing amazing work in both places. Please keep them all in your thoughts & prayers. I've been shipping out care packages/cards almost weekly. So if anyone wishes to support our troops and would like donate to my care pkg platoon (haha), please contact me. In the meantime...here are a few pics from Haiti that my lil' rugby brothers have sent/shared.
