The COL & his wife attended & assisted w/ the memorial service for Senior Chief Petty Officer, Blake McLendon who died at the age of 30 in a helicopter crash on 21 September, 2010 during a special operation in Afghanistan. Blake's hometown (Thomasville, GA) held a flag parade in his honor. They sent me the link to the video below which captures the parade & outpouring of support from the folks of T-Ville.
