There are no words.....

There are no words for when someone close to you is killed downrange. There are no words for when you're standing on the tarmac with the smell of jet fuel breezing past your nostrils while the winter chill crawls up your back as your friend is offloaded from the plane that has brought him home. There are no words for the Patriot Guard and the random individuals who stop to pay their respects as we are escorted on the long ride back to town.  There are no words for how much you will be missed.  Rest easy now my friend, we'll take the watch from here.
