Saoirse Mae was born 25 May, 2015. She was part of a rescue case that remained tied up in the court system for the first year of her life. But thanks to Sandhills Horse Rescue and all the selfless individuals/volunteers who stepped up to help provide her with vet care, feed/hay, a pasture to frolick in and lots of love, she developed into a healthy lil' filly. She finally became adoptable in July 2016 and I officially became her mom!! Thank you to everyone who's been a part of getting this sassy lil' stinker to where she is today.

Q: Why did you name her Saoirse Mae?
A: Because she was born on Memorial Day (25 May, 2015) which is a day that is near and dear to me, I wanted to name her something special, yet unique & also find a way to get some irish in there. So I chose the name Saoirse b/c it means freedom/liberty. The Mae is b/c of "May Way" and the blatant obvious of her having been born in the month of May.
