A Few Words from an American Soldier re: GWOT (Global War On Terrorism)

A friend & teammate of mine, shared these words on the situation as it relates to the Global War on Terrorism and the most recent attacks on Paris....  

"The following is not political, I am not debating with you...don't waste you time.  A friend of mine Eric highlighted something the other day...he is a man of few words, so I listen when he speaks.

He mentioned seeing pictures of "refugees" heading to our country, and noted that he only noticed "Military Aged Males" in the photos. He also mentioned that if it were he that were fleeing for his safety, that he'd escape with his family in tact.- Stellar Observation Mac. Here's my take...

The GLOBAL WAR ON TERRORISM (GWOT) has done more for me, than give me night tremors, and memories of combat. I've learned that our enemies are not stupid...they are sly, cunning, and adaptive. They've been at war longer than anyone who is reading this status has been alive...they are good at it. They are skilled in sabotage, concealment, infiltration, and acts of terrorism.

The dominant face in all of MY memories of terror are Arab, Muslims who are military aged males, and who appear to be clean cut, and despite what you might think....not nervous at all. Like I said, they are good at this. I'm not singling anyone out, just offering my take on a complex WAR environment.

Am I a little extra cautious in crowds? DAMN SKIPPY! 
Do military aged Aram, Muslim males who dress in traditional garb cause me to observe there EVERY move? Yessir! 
Is this racism? Hell no...this is lesson, upon lesson from my war story.

Do I care who is in the White House? Nope...that man or woman has the most difficult job on the planet, and weather you or I like what they say/do; they have our best interest in mind. I support my Commander in Chief, and the officers/NCO's appointed over me! I expect them to make the right decision. in the case that their decision is wrong, it's my job to ADAPT and effect change at my level. NOT to piss and moan as to why they're ruining America-which; I will add, they are not...we are. Stand Up and take responsibility for failing your neighbor. Do Better at self policing our communities.

It is my concern that housing a refugee camp near/on American soil, will embolden potential attackers and what we saw in Paris...will be our reality. STAY VIGILANT, be respectful, and #FIDO".
